I’ve been wanting to e-mail you let you know that once again, we had a week of fishing and fishing experiences with Flowers River Lodge that were outstanding. The memories will be replaying in my head all winter. I have to tell you that I love Labrador. It is such a beautiful, wild and unspoiled country. Mike and I are really fortunate to have been able to explore both downriver, and upriver from Flowers River Lodge over the last two years. As with all Rivers, the Flowers shows a new personality around every bend, but few rivers are as unspoiled. Add the phenomenal salmon fishing to the remoteness and beauty, and Flowers River is a priceless gem. In short, Thanks Jim! |

Hi Jim,
I thought I would drop you a line to thank you for providing an amazing service at Flowers River! I truly have to say that it was by far the best experience I have ever had in regards to fishing and ranks with the top things I have done and experienced in my lifetime. Craig and I had an amazing time and were very satisfied with the trip as a whole. I also wanted to point out that Justin is not only and amazing guide but an amazing person. He was a big part of why our trip was so great. He is very accommodating and very understanding (he went above and beyond what I was expecting) and if you ever get anything but positive feedback from your customers about him I can truly say the problem is not with him but with your customer. I am sure you know that anyway. The rest of the guiding staff was great as well. I know my Dad (Hedley) and Rick had a great time with Barry, and I am sure I will be hearing stories from Byron and Jason for years to come about Doug. Shelia and Aubrey
were great as well, providing hospitable service and wonderful food.
Each member of your staff was very friendly and made us all feel welcomed.
It was certainly nice meeting you and your staff at Flowers River Lodge and I certainly hope I get the chance to visit with you guys again in the future.

The fishing was fantastic! Steve and I first visited Flowers in late-July/early-August of 2008 and thought that the fishing was good and couldn't get better; we were wrong. The fishing during mid-August in 2009 was better! The bottom line is that the Flowers River is fantastic, and the Flowers River Lodge team does an incredible job. |

From start to finish definitely a trip of a lifetime. Jim Burton is an excellent host that will go the extra mile to meet everybody’s needs at Flowers River. Aubrey and Sheila, the two chefs, make delicious meals and were very accommodating to my semi vegetarian needs. My guide Ryan was great very patient and positive. He put us onto fish every day, me and my partner Dave. The fishing is nothing short of spectacular. Big river, lots of wild Atlantic salmon many up to 30lb along with arctic char and brook trout to keep anyone busy. Jim thanks for making this trip possible. I am already planning to return next year. The week of the full moon looks good. |

Salmon arrive like clock-work on July 15 at Flowers River. I take a 20 pounder on the 16th! My wife Helen lands her first-ever Salmon on the 17th! Max’s Pool & Top Pool are hot! The Flowers River is my favorite salmon river in the world! The three ubiquitously singing bird species, the northern water thrush, yellow warbler & Swanson’s thrush, were all lured here from the Amazon Rain Forest! They also understand & appreciaite the lure & magic of the Flowers River! |

Didn’t get the big one! But a fishing trip is not just about Salmon……it’s about people. I was privileged & blessed to be with my brother Vince, his grandson Benjamin and my nephew Jim; to meet and enjoy the cooking of Sheila & Aubrey Ralph; to company with 3 fine people / anglers Jim Radford and his two sons and to renew acquaintances with guides Carl, Barry, Doug & Justin.
Unfortunately, Vince, Jim & Benjamin had to leave due to the sudden illness of Jim’s mom “Dorothy”. Her sickness & our anxiety about her cast a shadow over an otherwise wonderful trip to Flowers. Dorothy & the family home are in our minds constantly! This is my 6th trip to the Flowers and hopefully not my last. I never cease to be impressed with Jim as a pilot, outfitter and person. Thanks Jim and everyone.

Jim..........Beautiful Flowers River and wonderful Labrador scenery made for a trip of a lifetime. If you are chasing large Salmon and Char, this is the place to be! If you want great cooking (thanks to Shelia and Aubrey) and great companionship (thanks to Mark and Dean, Len and Stephen, as well as the Roberts, and fellow guides –Carl, Doug, Ryan, Justin, Barry, and Calvin) you are also in the right place at Flowers River. The fish were once again a bonus!.........Look forward to returning and taking on the big fish once again! |

My 10th year at Flowers River and one of the best years ever.The fishing just keeps getting better due to Jim Burton’s careful stewardship of the river. On one memorable day I limited out on large (12-20 lbs.) salmon, and overall released more large fish than any trip I have ever had. Many thanks to Sheila and Aubrey who provided us with outstanding meals and hospitality and Barry, Carl and Doug for their excellent guiding. Needless to say Len and I will be back.

The best Atlantic Salmon fishing trip I have been on. The acomondations were luxurious.The food delicious. The most friendly and courteous staff I have ever experienced.
Special kudos to the cooks Aubrey and Sheila, they were very kind and made my stay extra comfortable. Barry a great fish spotter and salmon tailed. I should not forget you, Jim who made sure my stay was exceptional and delivered me safe and sound to camp.The large 40 inch salmon was icing on the cake! Thank you and all the staff.

I must say that my fishing experience at Flowers River was my best yet! Catching and Landing those large wild Atlantic Salmon was a real "Rush"! i enjoyed the 'purity' of 'barbless hook fly fishing' and the strictly enforced 'catch and release' policy.everything, the lodge,the staff,the food and most of all 'the river' contributed to make this the most awesome fishing trip i have been on....thanks!...Dr. Vachhani, Michigan |
